Chanel J12 Campaign

After being placed on hold in 2020, KAWANA was excited to finally see this brand activation installed for Chanel in Westfield Sydney Shopping Centre.

KAWANA was presented with a brief requiring a visual display of Chanel’s J12 watches as part of a larger Westfield campaign running throughout the centre. The campaign focuses on encounters that can take place in a second.

Crossing the street, meeting someone’s gaze, changing the course of your destiny. Each is a story of encounters. A story of decisive seconds for a woman who’s in touch with her life. Featuring the calibre 12.1, a self-winding movement manufactured exclusively for Chanel, the J12 is made for encounters such as these. The companion for every second.

KAWANA needed to create a high-end feature that would catch the eye of a passer-by, stand out in a busy environment, and speak to the modern-day woman. The team designed the stands, created a prototype, manufactured, and then bumped in and out at Westfield, across three levels prior to the centre opening.

The installation was designed sustainably for a circular economy. Upon bump out, KAWANA disassembled thestands into flat pack boxes, storing them at the KAWANA Sydney warehouse until required for re-purpose for future Chanel campaigns.
