The Sunny Street Truck

KAWANA recently had the pleasure to assist Sunny Street, a local Sunshine Coast charity, with their truck signage. This new initiative provides free healthcare for those who are homeless or simply less fortunate across South East Queensland.

“Healthcare for those sleeping rough and doing it tough”.

Founders, Dr Nova Evans and Sonia Goodwin, have the vision to facilitate community connectivity and improve access to health care options to individuals who would otherwise be unable to access healthcare.
The Sunny Street Truck, now allows for mobile outreach in order to best assist those living on the streets. The team provide general health checks, wound care, mental health plans, chronic disease management and support, immunisations, cervical screening, health education and STI treatment.

The team at KAWANA are honoured to support such a noble organisation in their endeavours to help those who are experiencing homelessness, ultimately providing care and dignity in our community and beyond. Director, Shane Moroney, is passionate about giving back and assisting those who are less fortunate. “Nova and Sonia are doing fantastic work and I am just happy that we could help out”.
